This class will be taught primarily by Ezra in English. Sage will be available for translation assistance.

This class is designed for those with some wheelthrowing experience seeking to advance their skills. We will cover how to create multiples and properly form plates, as well as how to throw off the hump, and throw in parts. We will also explore some glazing methods. With a small class size of only six students, participants can expect to improve their existing wheelthrowing skills and learn new techniques.

Prerequisite:
Students should have a basic understanding of the ceramic process. Students should be able to center, pull a 3-4” cylinder, and trim.

Price includes all taxes.

Price includes all materials and instruction: 25 lbs clay, glaze, firings (for the 25 lbs of clay), and use of studio tools. Payment plans are available upon request.

Students get access to our Open Studio Hours for extra independent work time. You can schedule an Open Studio visit at a time that is convenient for you by planning with Ezra/Sage during class, sending a whatsapp message, or emailing us at houseofdirtstudio@gmail.com. Students get 1 free Open Studio. Additional Open Studio visits are $12 (including IVU) per day payable via ATH Movil or Venmo. Open Studio visits have a maximum of 4 hours. Please schedule your studio visit with a minimum of 24-hour notice.

Full Refund: Cancellations made up to 7 days before the first class will receive a full refund.

Missed Classes: No refunds will be given for missed classes. If you are unable to attend a scheduled class, we encourage you to inform us in advance, and we will do our best to explore alternative arrangements or make-up opportunities.
