Clay Camp 2025

Clay Camp 2025
Join us for the first-ever House of Dirt Summer Clay Camp! Campers will dive into the world of ceramics, exploring handbuilding techniques like slab construction, pinching, and coiling, as well as trying their hands at wheel-throwing. Throughout the two-week session, they’ll experience the full ceramic process—from shaping and sculpting to decorating with underglazes and finishing with glazing. With only six spots per session, each camper will receive plenty of one-on-one guidance and support.

What to Expect
Week 1: Campers will focus on creating a variety of projects and preparing their work for the bisque (first) firing.
Week 2: After bisque firing, we’ll explore glazing techniques and keep building ceramic skills with fun clay challenges. Activities include blindfolded wheel throwing, a tallest coil structure competition, and more!
At the end of each session, campers will host an art show, assembling a display of their creations in the studio. Family members are invited to celebrate their work during this special exhibition!
